This policy explains what personal data we handle when you book a table, write to us or browse this website, what we use it for, and what you can do about it.

2. What data do we handle?
Bookings. Your name, phone number, email address, date and time, number of guests, and anything you tell us in the notes field.
Allergies and intolerances. If you mention them when booking, you are giving us health data. We use it solely to adapt your service in the kitchen and the dining room.
Enquiries. Whatever you give us when you email or call.
Browsing. Technical and usage data collected through cookies. The details are in our cookies policy.
3. Why do we use it, and on what legal basis?
- To manage and confirm your booking. Basis: performance of a contract, or pre-contractual steps taken at your request.
- To adapt the service to allergies or intolerances. Basis: your explicit consent. You may withhold this information, but then we cannot take it into account.
- To answer your enquiries, complaints and suggestions. Basis: our legitimate interest in replying to you.
- To measure how the site is used and improve it. Basis: your consent, which you give or refuse in the cookie banner and can change at any time.
- To meet accounting and tax obligations. Basis: legal obligation.
We do not make automated decisions that significantly affect you, nor do we build profiles from your data.
4. How long do we keep it?
- Bookings: for as long as needed to manage them and, afterwards, blocked for the applicable limitation periods.
- Allergies and intolerances: only until we have served you.
- Enquiries: for as long as it takes to resolve them.
- Invoicing: for the periods set by Spanish commercial and tax law.
- Cookies: for the periods stated in the cookies policy.
5. Who else can access your data?
We do not sell your data, nor pass it to third parties so they can advertise to you. It is accessed only by the providers we need in order to operate, and only as far as necessary:
- The provider that hosts and maintains this website.
- The StayFoodie booking platform, which runs the online reservation system.
- Google, for analytics and tagging tools, if you have accepted the relevant cookies.
- Public authorities and courts, where the law requires it.
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, the transfer relies on the safeguards set out in the GDPR, such as a European Commission adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses.
6. What are your rights?
You may exercise at any time your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, portability and objection, and withdraw any consent you have given us, without affecting processing carried out beforehand.
To do so, write to info@caumetge.com or to our postal address, stating which right you wish to exercise and enclosing a copy of your ID card or passport so that we can verify your identity.
If you believe we have not handled your request properly, you may complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency at www.aepd.es.
7. Children
This website is not aimed at children under 14 and we do not knowingly collect their data. Bookings must be made by someone above that age.
8. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access, and we require the same of the providers who work with us.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our processing activities or the applicable rules change. The version in force is always the one published on this page.
